I think Blue and I got a bit carried away..

Okay... this is really really unusual for me to be posting so many journals, but my life is squishing itself into a tiny tic tac-sized lump, at the moment.

So, I have this kinda ... dilemma type thing. I'm doing the 40 Hour Famine, as I said, but the Saturday night that I'd be doing it, I'm invited to my friend Kirsty's party, and that's DEFINITELY not a food-free zone. I just can't see her mum popping out of the kitchen with a bowl of barley sugars in one arm and mineral water in the other. To add the the problem; I'm supposed to go to the church and sleep over with Teagan and Nora on the Saturday night.
I've sorted it out (I'm just doing the 40HF a day early), but I was just wondering what you'd do in that position? I said I'd do the 40HF before I knew about Kirsty's party, by the way ^_^

So yes. Have bought shit loads of mineral water and barley sugar. Omnomnom. Sorta... Supsupsup. Yeah 8D Please don't talk to me about food, or I may be forced to kill you.

Why is half the world born in August? I know people who have birthdays from the 2nd all the way to the 24th, and then there are the stragglers at either end of the massive chain of birthdays. Is sex better in November, or something? Calm down, people. Jeez.

So, um, I'm going to pimp a couple of people's work, because they're selling stuff and really deserve more recognition.
Firstly, may I introduce to you (if you don't already know him...) Master Steven Gilby
He's a fantastic writer and a really nice person. He's currently got some books for sale which I think are going to kick ass: got the whole vampires in modern society thing going on. It's epic, believe me. And if you aren't into reading whole books (*raises hand* guilty ) he's got poems and short stories and prose and it's AMAZINGGOREADSOME!


And the other person is Beth
She's got the smexiest style EVER and has some posters for sale. Or they will be on sale, when she does them 8D Yaypunks anyone? She's also really nice, so you may as well go stalk her for a bit, too. Beth has this insane ability to draw in about 5 different styles perfectly. It's disturbing. And we haven't even got to her actual ART yet. This is turning into a rant. Give her account a squizz.

Sorry about spamming your inbox like this, but this is some BIG news.

I'VE FINALLY FIGURED OUT HOW TO DRAW HANDS!!! Best day of my life... after my birthday. I can semi-do it now Eeeep! I'm so excited.

Which led me to think about how everyone's better at drawing one thing that everything else, and I was just wondering: what do you specialize in?
I'd have to say that I'm best at eyes, probably because I draw them more than anything else, but I'm really intrigued to find out what everyone can do.

OKAY! Now it's time for me to be a moody teen because I'm kinda, just a little bit, fucking pissed off at some people.
You know how your mum used to tell you that if you don't have something nice to say, don't say it? It doesn't mean that you can run around handing out 'neutral' comments, just because they're "not mean", telling people that what they're doing is wrong. It's just stupid, and everyone seems to be doing it lately (well, not everyone). Not just in real life, either; people on dA do it a lot, too. So... stop it. Yeah. It's not nice.

Moving right along. The Olympic Opening Ceremony was AMAZING! Who here craves one of those massive LED screens? I sure do.

Also, I'm doing the 40 Hour Famine again this year, and I was just wondering if anyone would either sponsor me or do it with me? It's actually really fun apart from the fact that you feel like your stomach is crawling up your throat.
